At Valley Creek Veterinary Hospital, LLC, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today.
Surgery
When your pet has surgery in our office, you can rest assured that we will take excellent care of them. We make sure that your pet is properly hooked up to our many monitors so that, if anything should happen, we will know right away and be able to help. We have technicians in the surgery suite with our veterinarians so that your pet is always being watched and monitored, from the time the first anesthetic is given until your pet is wide awake.
Boarding
We are proud to provide Selma, AL and the surrounding communities with boarding services. We practice the highest standards of care and cleanliness for patients staying with us. We know that it takes a great deal of trust to leave your pet with someone else, so we want to assure you that we are professional, highly trained, and most of all, we love pets.
Home Euthanasia
Many pets have trouble getting around in their old age, so it can be quite difficult to bring them into the hospital. You may want extra privacy during this horrible time. Many people are too upset to drive. Because of this, we would be happy to come to you and your pets. We hope that you and your pets will be more relaxed in the privacy of your own home, allowing the whole process to go much more smoothly.
Avian Medicine and Surgery
We are happy to provide care for poultry as well as pet birds. Our team is trained and experienced in caring for avian patients, so we want you to know that your bird is receiving top quality care.
Flea Prevention and Control/Tick Prevention
We offer a prevention (or preventative choices) for fleas and ticks. These medications need to be given every month for the best results. We also recommend giving them all year round because fleas and ticks can cause problems no matter what time of year it is.
Heartworm Prevention
Here at Valley Creek Veterinary Hospital, LLC, we are pleased to offer heartworm testing for our patients. Heartworms (or even a single adult heartworm) can cause a lot of damage to an infected dog. Adult heartworms can grow as long as twelve inches when they are full grown. At that point, they live in the heart and lungs which cause a dog to go into heart and lung failure.
Spay/Neuter
Spaying and neutering are important and necessary medical procedures that enhance the quality of your pet’s life. Not only does spaying and neutering have positive effects on your pet’s health, it’s also vital to controlling the homeless pet population.
Soft Tissue Surgery
We do routine surgeries including spays, neuters, and lump removals. We are also able to do more complex things like doing biopsies, treating wounds, and more. We also perform surgeries to repair laryngeal paralysis, tracheal collapse, and more.
Puppy/Kitten Wellness
Congratulations! Adding a new puppy or kitten to your family is exciting and will give you many fulfilling years of special companionship. Puppies and kittens come with a lot of responsibility and that’s why we at Valley Creek Veterinary Hospital, LLC are here to help you care for the new addition to your family.
Senior Pet Wellness
At Valley Creek Veterinary Hospital, LLC in Selma, AL, we provide care for your pet through all stages of life. Since pets age faster than we do, it is easy to forget that they can be considered seniors after just seven years. Moreover, as they get older, their health needs change in unique ways that require proper consideration.
Pet Supplies
We understand that you care about your pet’s health, which is why we are proud to offer pet goods and supplies to you. We offer pet food, and we also carry supplements and treats. These supplements can be taken if our friendly and compassionate veterinarian is noticing any issues in your pet and you need to ensure that there is more of a specific vitamin in his or her diet. The treats that are in our office are all healthier and better quality than the ones you pick up at the store. Your pet really will notice a difference.
